Too Much?

Don't laugh.
Did anyone make any New Year's Resolutions this year? I did. Fifty-six to be exact. 56 New Year's Resolutions!! Most people who know me know that I am very organized, so of course my resolutions are broken down into 11 different categories (in alphabetical order--there's no other way!):
  • Career
  • Cultural
  • Financial
  • Marriage
  • Mental
  • Personal
  • Physical (further broken down into Physical Appearance, Physical Fitness, and Physical Wellness)
  • Social
  • Spiritual
After all my resolutions were placed in their appropriate categories, I then wrote in detail how I was going to accomplish/complete each resolution (this is how I spent my New Year's Day :) ). Then, every Monday I review my resolutions to make sure I am staying on track. Surprisingly, I'm doing pretty well so far!! The key for me is keeping it all organized and reviewing them on a weekly basis.
The only goal so far that I am not going to reach this year is running the marathon. :( I am very disappointed, but I think it is for the best to let my ankle heal all the way before I start running far distances on it again. I tried running a few blocks yesterday and it just hurt too much. So, I joined a new gym yesterday (I quit the other gym I was going to because there were too many kids there!) and I am going to start my new and improved workout routine on Monday. Back to the weights! I am still going to do cardio, but probably using the bike or elliptical so that I don't put too much pressure on my ankle.

You sure are motivated. I didn't make any resolutions. That's ok though; you made enough for the both of us!

Well I did make some goals. I don't like calling them resolutions, because that sometimes limits them to the first of the year(in my mind), but goals you can make anytime... I have a few this year - some carried over from last. Spiritual, Physical and Mental Health, Marriage(even after 26 years), and Financial are some of my categories. I will start reviewing them every week, I think that is a good idea, then I won't lose track. So far I have only kept track of my weight... Since Jan 2nd I have lost about 5lbs. I am trying to keep up with consistant exercise, but with me working a part-time job tutoring its been hard. I am going to try to get a personal trainer at the Y to help me keep up with exercising so I will be extra cute for Jenny's wedding. Well you have a wonderful day, week.. keep up the good work.. I love you !! Aunt Sherron
