Eyebrow Threading

This morning I went to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time ever. Let me tell you, it was PAINFUL! I was quite surprised because I had always heard that threading was painless. Liars! Unlike waxing--where all the hair is ripped off in one yank-- threading pulls out each hair individually. It hurt so much that I started sweating! But the end product made it totally worth it! I can't remember the last time my eyebrows looked this good! They are very clean and perfect looking and I love them. I was going to take a picture to post but the batteries are dead in my camera.

Has anyone else tried threading?

No, I've never tried threading, but I thought it was supposed to be painless, also. They really do one hair at a time? Well, you should find a way to post a picture because I want to see how great your eyebrows really look. (And in a small attempt to overtake your blog...I cut my hair!)

I've never tried threading, but I've always wanted to. I heard that it makes the best eyebrow shape ever. As you all know, I used to go to Mimi in Lexington, who I thought gave the best eyebrow arch ever, but she made me mad and I've been doing my own eyebrows ever since. It's working out pretty good--when I get around to doing them, I get compliments. Plus, I'm saving a little money, and I no longer have the breakouts around my eyebrows like I did when I went to Mimi (the shape was so good that I kept going back even though it broke me out! But when she insulted me, that was the last straw!).

Anyway, back to threading. I believe it was Tawanda that was telling me about her experience getting her eyebrows threaded in Chicago. She said that it didn't hurt. She said that the lady used the thread to cut the hair, so it was like using a razor, so that's probably why it didn't hurt. I was confused when she told me this because from what I had read, the threader sort of rolls the thread over the hair and pulls the hair out at the root. Did your threader pull each hair out?

"anonymous," you should post a picture of your new haircut. I heard it was cute and that after you got it, you were playing with it in the mirror and swinging it around. I want to see!

Speaking of taking over LKY's thread, look how long my post is!

And akinogal is also hijacking your thread LKY! Those links started trying to download something onto my computer!

i'm obbsessed with threading... it's amazing. so much better than waxing which causes wrinkles over time and it looks better too with less irritation and is more precise. it's not every individual hair, it's like 10 at a time or more. yes, it hurts a little since it pulls the hair from the root, but no more than plucking...
