There is a glitch in my marathon training, besides my lack of motivation. In order to run the Paris Marathon, you have to submit a medical certificate confirming that you are fit to run. Well, I went to the doctor on Monday to get a medical certificate and guess how much it is going to cost? £100 ($200)!!! And that doesn't include the ECG that I would have to get. So now I am faced with this question: Do I really want to run this marathon that bad? That is quite a bit of money, especially since I would still have to pay for travel and accomodation once I get to Paris. If I bow out now, I will only be out the registration fee, which was £49. But...I don't want to feel like a loser and a quitter. To be honest, it has been hard to stay motivated because I have been busy with work and I just haven't had the time to put in all of the mileage. I usually try to run 2-3 times a week, but really I should be running 4 times a week. I don't know what to do...
I'll post once I make a decision!

Do you want to run the marathon? If so, then suck it up and pay the money. If it is just an obligation and your heart is not in it, forget about it and just run for fun. A marathon is way too much work to be doing it out of obligation. However, if you really want to do it, $200 is not too much money. My $.02!
